Hybrid working Finance Analyst (Systems) job - Carmarthenshire

Your new role

As Finance Analyst (Systems) - you will be focused on managing the Oracle system and ensuring it runs effectively, so supporting the Accounting and Reporting team and supporting them in their continuous improvement agenda.

You will be involved in the following areas below:

Support role in systems redesign across the finance and related functions including lean systems. This will include the use of new technologies, systems and workflow techniques. Managing one member of staff within your team. Ensuring integrity of the financial systems used within the department.

With the support of your Senior Manager you will get involved in Project managing systems development / improvement within the department. With support you will be involved in the management and provision of professional financial support, advice and information to enable managers and leaders to effectively and proactively manage financial governance within the systems agenda. Involvement in ensuring development of systems such as Qlikview, Oracle, Power BI, Prophix and others.

Completion of the systems month end processes. Involvement in System upgrades and migration. Also be responsible for facilitating and co-ordinating the Oracle E Business Suite Systems group meetings, which will include the recording of notes and production of key actions in line with the strategy. Attendance at all Wales System (eg Oracle) user groups and meetings.

Monthly system reconciliations and in accordance with monthly timetable. Be involved in regular reviews of processes in the Finance department. Ensuring desk top processes are in place for all processes feeding in and out of the ledger. In addition the management and provision of professional financial support, advice and information to enable managers and leaders to effectively and proactively manage financial governance within the process improvement agenda. As well as assisting in preparation of the Audit working papers.

You

The ideal candidate will have an accounting background - you may be Part Qualified, Qualified or a strong systems oriented QBE Accountant with the ability to interpret and explain financial concepts and information to non-financial managers, and an ability to demonstrate initiative. Excellent communication and IT skills (including Oracle and advanced Excel) are also essential. Experience of reporting packages such as Qlikview or Power BI would be helpful.
