We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Officer (indigenous identified) to join a large organisation.
The Finance Officer is responsible to the Accountant for the provision of accounting and administration services, including timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and reconciliation of bank and other accounts.
Checking and processing variety of supplier invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders/statements

The Finance Officer is responsible to the Accountant for the provision of accounting and administration services, including timely and accurate payment of vendor invoices and reconciliation of bank and other accounts.
Checking and processing variety of supplier invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders/statements
Responsibilities:
- Purchasing items, including raising of purchase orders
Setting up and managing new suppliers' records and templates in the system
Prepare and maintain various general ledger account and bank reconciliations on a weekly / monthly basis - Preparation of quarterly BAS returns
- Processing of PAYG and employee claims like travelling allowance reimbursements
- Managing accounts receivable, including setting up and managing customer records
- Managing corporate credit cards and prepaid debit cards
Assisting with month end accounting requirements, including preparation of accruals and prepayments - Assisting with external audit requirements
- Providing additional support to the wider corporate services team as required
Essential criteria:
- Minimum Cert IV, or equivalent in Accounting with minimum of 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable operations
- High accuracy, attention to detail and reconciliation skills
Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders - Intermediate - Advanced knowledge in MS Excel and use of accounting systems.
- Must be indigenous identified
