Diversified agri-business based on the Darling Downs is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their team.
Our client is a diversified agri-business based on the Darling Downs, specialising in livestock and food production. Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking a Junior Accountant to join and support their finance team. This business is also involved with a broad range of other agricultural enterprises and you will have significant diversity in your work, as you liaise with other business units. Some of your responsibilities will include;
It is desirable but not mandatory for the successful candidate to have an Accounting or Finance Degree. The candidate should have a clear focus on progressing their accounting career. Previous exposure to accounting software is beneficial and a high level of competency in Microsoft Excel is essential.
This is a permanent full-time role and we are seeking someone who has an affinity for agri-business and most importantly, an exceptional eye for detail. You will be rewarded with a relaxed, rural working environment and a management team who encourage career progression and personal growth.
Adherence to the company's strict Drug and Alcohol and Bio-security requirements is compulsory. You must be willing to submit to all pre-employment testing requirements as applicable.

- Accounts Receivable.
- Sales and Production Reconciliations
- Assisting with budget versus actual analysis;
- Supporting month-end financial reporting and end of year work;
- Assisting with the preparation and coordination of audit processes; and
- Provision of general accounting and compliance work as required.
