Role purpose:
As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for delivering business solutions to internal and external stakeholders. This is a broad-ranging role, and could include, but is not limited to, understanding the business requirements, researching, analysing & preparing proposed technical solutions, data mapping and data reconciliation, supporting the development of business processes and arranging training or other support needs.

Key Accountabilities:
Reporting directly into the Business Analyst Lead, the Business Analyst will carry several core responsibilities around assessment and documentation of existing data, identification of gaps and vulnerabilities and developing the requirements for a the new data repository. A highly scientific and analytical role, it will encompass several areas including:
  • Work with the relevant business areas to understand their overall business objective and specific requirements for solutions to business problems, whether technical or business related.
  • Consult with Subject Matter Experts, to ensure all the business information is fully understood and taken into account,
  • Gather, examine and evaluate information from multiple sources, reconcile any conflicts, collate information into meaningful elements or structure
  • Research and/or analyse appropriate options that meet the business requirements and fit within organisational strategies
  • Ensure that requirements, options or proposals are communicated and presented in a format that is clear and meaningful to stakeholders
  • Co-ordinate and/or manage the implementation of technology solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
You must possess experience in Business Analysis, along with a good level of SQL Query Building Skills. You must have excellent communication skills and ideally have experience of working with external stakeholders. Strong communication skills are essential and this would suit an outgoing character who is keen to take the next step in their BA / Systems Analysis career.
  • 2+ years' experience in Business Analysis and Data Analysis roles
  • Knowledge and skills sets associated with extracting, gathering and combining data for data analysis and data profiling activities
  • Ability to analyse large amount of data and provide feedback and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and ability to drive operational and business transformations as needed
  • Proven ability to identify and assess stakeholder needs, level of support and best approach to engage strategically to achieve project goals and objectives
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including an ability to influence others with diplomacy, tact and discretion
  • Excellent presentation skills including preparation of PowerPoint presentations
  • Strong coordination and planning skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Highly Favourable Capabilities
  • High level technical competency in SQL
  • Tertiary Qualifications in IT
  • Previous superannuation experience highly regarded
  • Previous experience in a development role
