The Finance Manager is an integral part of the finance team; they will have overall responsibility for the management accounts and the financial accounts. They will be line managing two individuals and exploring systems changes where they identify an opportunity to do things differently.

The client is a cultural charity based in central London. Their services focus on pastoral support of young people and to achieve their aims, they partner with some of the UK's leading universities.

Description

• Produce the monthly management accounts, with commentary and variance analysis
• Coordination of 2 direct reports, ensuring to set clear deadlines
• Work closely with budget holders to ensure they understand their budgets
• Hold monthly meetings with budget holders to deal with Management Accounts related queries; ensure accurate financial planning and any deviations to plan are addressed as well as reflected in the monthly report
• Support the FD in the production quarterly board reports
• Work with the FD in the production of budgets and quarterly forecast
• Lead in the production of the statutory accounts, up to Trial Balance, of the charity and its related entities
• Produce balance sheet accounts reconciliations on a quarterly basis and at year-end
• Liaise with the auditors
• Drive systems integration projects for finance, with the various CRMs of the charity
