Your new company
Your new company is a leading business within the Sports Data space, working with some of the biggest names in sports to collect, analyse and provide data and statistics. Their business model is fully B2B, and they have a roster of over 600 different clients they work with. They are based in very stylish London offices, with a very collaborative atmosphere.
Your new role
In your new role as Sox Manager for this innovative business - you will report directly to the Director of Sox and Internal Controls, and manage 1 person who is also being hired into the business. The Director has already worked with a Top 4 partner on the implementation of the Sox Controls programme, and there is a temp in the business to work on the initial remediation.
You will then be required to pick this up when they depart and run the relationship with the top 4 firm, as well as liaising with the various internal stakeholders to ensure that the business continues its path on Sox Controls. The business is fairly aggressive in its expansion plan, having acquired 3 businesses in as many months and so you will be responsible for ensuring that the new businesses joining are also fed into the Sox Controls piece as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Accounting or Internal Audit background (Top 4 background preferred, but not a pre-requisite)
- Strong understanding of Sox Controls
- Aptitude to manage staff members
- Right to live and work in the UK without restriction or sponsorship
- Prior experience working in an international or multi-national business would be a bonus
- Strong excel skills
- Strong communication skills
