An award-winning Design Consultancy with an impressive Head Office in Central London are currently recruiting for a Qualified Financial Controller to join their growing business. This consultancy provides engineering solutions globally and offers a truly exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller to join their organisation.

Your new role
Reporting to the FD and MD will be involved in a variety of tasks in finance with overall responsibility for the running of the department, you will lead a small team in finance as well as remain hands on in areas such as expense management. This role will include but not be limited to;

- Cashflow reporting
- Budgeting budgeting & forecasting
- Management accounting and month end reporting
- Production of year end and statutory accounts
- Project cost reports to agree the WIP Schedule
- Quarterly VAT returns
- KPI analysis
- Continuous process improvement
- Assist with implementation of new system
- Provide support to senior management team and board thorough proactive business partnering
- Ad hoc analysis and project work



What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Qualified Accountant with an ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualification and have experience working in a project led, consultancy or construction environment. Experience accounting for long term contracts is essential. You will have strong leadership skills and be a confident manager. Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with senior stakeholders as well as non-finance colleagues is required. This role will suit an ambitious individual who is looking to make positive changes to the department and maximise potential for finance to support the wider business.
