Finance Manager

From £47,000 per annum, dependent on skills and experience

We have a superb opportunity for a talented and highly professional Finance Manager to make a significant contribution to the evolution of the Bryanston finance team and take responsibility for the day-to-day financial operations of our busy boarding school, ensuring a high standard of financial integrity, openness and influence, and providing sound financial advice and guidance to stakeholders at all levels.

This is a transformational role requiring sensitive and effective leadership and a close working relationship with the Finance Director and Chief Operating Office to move the finance function to its next level of development. It will also play a major role in ensuring that an appropriate financial strategy is in place to guide the School's financial decision making, provide timely and accurate financial information as required and ensure appropriate internal controls and financial procedures are in place.

This newly created role will likely suit a qualified accountant with experience of working in a busy accounts department at a senior level with a hunger to enhance and improve the strategic impact of the finance function. The successful applicant will possess established expertise in running cloud-based accounting systems and a proven ability to problem solve and offer a commercial approach in an environment where customer service is highly valued.

Bryanston School is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls aged 13 to 18, set in a 400-acre site near Blandford Forum in Dorset. Founded in 1928, the school aims above all to develop the all-round talents of individual pupils. A broad, flexible academic and extra-curricular programme is offered and each pupil benefits from considerable one-to-one help and guidance from a personal tutor, subject teachers and housemaster/housemistress. Bryanston aims to combine the best of the new and the old, as befits the school motto et nova et vetera.

Bryanston offers a competitive remuneration package in a fantastic working environment for the right candidate.
