You will need to be an experienced finance officer, with time served in either industry, practice or the public sector........ although this is a developmental role and would be an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a degree in accountancy, any graduates would need to have significant experience gained through an industry placement year or a previous role.

The areas where you will need to demonstrate your capability and expertise will be will be;

• Prepare monthly expense reports
• Prepare and reconcile monthly recharges
• Preparation of monthly journals
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing quarterly VAT returns
• Assisting with the preparation of the budgets/forecasts and performance reports
• Producing MI relating to balance sheet accounts and drafting reports
• Maintain the fixed asset registers; Capex and depreciation monitoring

You will also need to have excellent understanding of statutory accounts preparation; ideally to trial balance stage.

As this role is all about analysis, Experience of data management and manipulation via Microsoft Excel is essential; you will need advanced Excel skills and the ability to use Pivot Tables, V-lookups and other higher functions such as Macros.

First stage interviews will most probably be virtual by Skype or MS Teams, so you will need to be confident to represent yourself in this manner.....we will be on hand to support you through the interview process should you be successful in reach it.
