Experienced Accounts Assistant / Administrator needed in North Birmingham for a busy office specializing in FMCG/Retail. You will be working as part of the Finance Team and reporting directly to the Finance Director.

SME business specialising in FMCG who have been trading for over 15 Years.

Description

• Entering Supplier invoices onto Sage and allocating them to the correct nominal codes
• Checking Supplier invoices against the purchase order log and issuing them out for approval
• First contact for any supplier queries
• Presenting the Managing Director and Finance Director with invoices for final approval, ready to be added onto the payment schedule
• Signing off postage and courier invoices ready for payment, by following the correct approval procedure
• Submitting claims and following them through to receipt of payment
• Reconciling credit card statements to ensure that all receipts have been received, and all
• VAT has been reclaimed
• Submitting payments onto the bank correctly and matching them up onto Sage
• Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc

Profile

• 2 Years experience within an Account Assistant role or within PL, SL or finance administration
• Experience of using SAGE
• Ability to manage own diary/time effectively
• Great stakeholder / communication skills
• Ideally experience of having worked with a SME (not essential)
• Self-motivated and energetic
• Great with numbers, highly organised and accurate
