Finance Analyst

Duration: 3 months (with the possibility to be extended)

Location: 5 min walk from Southwark station (role will be working remotely until the foreseeable)

Pay: £27.74 UMB per hour

You will be working for a well established Central Government organisation

Duties:

• You will be responsible for the delivery of financial business partner support to nominated departments, in order to deliver accurate financial monitoring, budget planning and financial analysis of projects.
• Budget Monitoring and Financial Management
• Supporting the preparation of financial year closing and end of year accounts.
• Providing financial information, advice and support on the management and monitoring of budgets and associated activities.

What you need to succeed:

• Advanced excel skills.
• Attention to Detail.
• Knowledge of local government accounting practices and procedures and matters affecting the financing of local government.
• Good written & verbal communication skills.
• Experience of practical accounting/finance systems including maintaining and developing computerised financial systems.
• Knowledge of SAP
• Experience of drafting financial reports for Directors and Members including the ability to explain complex financial issues.
