A leading UK Retailer is currently seeking a commercially minded Finance Analyst for one of its success and thrive finance team.

The role is analysing performance and trends, producing metrics and identifying areas for improvement. The successful candidate will be involved in identifying business improvement measures and setting targets for performance. In short the Analyst's role is to support the Director and Head of Finance in driving the performance of the business forward.

Your new role

• Variance Reporting
• Devises new measures and metrics designed to give greater insight into how the business is performing
• Improves systems by studying current practices; supporting departmental managers in designing modifications and improvements.
• Recommends controls by identifying problems.
• Prepares technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
• Analysis on Costs of Goods Sold
• Completion of P&L and Balance Sheet Analysis
• Collates statistical information and create corresponding client reports
• Supports move to automation of key metric information
• Supports development of client facing information portal

What you'll need to succeed

The analyst should be well organised with excellent numeracy and analytical skills understand the importance of driving performance. You will need to be a qualified accountant ACA 1st Time mover/CIMA/ACCA and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
