Job Details
Reporting to the Finance Director this role will be pivotal in rationalising the finance function to improve performance and deliver efficiencies within the department.

Description
- Leading a small team of two accounts assistants who look after Purchase and Sales Ledgers
- Promote a business partnering approach with the rest of the business
- Involvement in the design and implementation of a new ERP system
- Maintain the accuracy of the Ledgers and accurate month end close processes
- Providing draft Management Accounts and commentary to the Finance Director
- Maintain the short-term daily cash flow forecast
- Manage foreign currency conversion in line with cash flow requirements
- Manage supplier payments to meet supplier payment terms and cash flow requirements
- Manage the payroll process for 90 fortnightly and 30 monthly paid staff, currently using SAGE payroll
- Manage and submit quarterly VAT and Intrastat returns
- Manage and submit HMRC PAYE returns and payments
- Manage and submit National Statistics returns
- GBP and EUR bank reconciliations
- Manage reporting requirements and development relationships with key contacts within OEM customers
Profile
- Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant with 2 years+ experience particularly within a manufacturing environment
- An understanding of financial analysis and issues within a manufacturing environment
- Excellent Excel and IT skills, particularly with previous ERP experience
- Excellent organizational, communication and analytical skills, with a record of rationalisation and process improvement.
- Attention to detail and able to prioritise workload and those of the accounts assistants.
- Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
- Live within an easily manageable commute of Eastleigh
