This involves working with clients to produce complex tax computations and returns for HM Revenue & Customs, giving advice on corporate planning and restructuring projects both in the UK and Internationally.Service Line GroupUK Int & Complex (UK) Job DescriptionWe are seeking an International Corporate Tax Senior Manager to join our Leeds or Newcastle offices. Working as a member of the client service team to provide international corporate tax advisory services to a wide range of clients, including one of the UK's largest privately held groups. You will also have a focus on large corporates including UK public companies and inbound businesses serviced out of our Leeds or Newcastle offices.ResponsibilitiesBe market facing with allocated clients and target organisationsLiaising with the client service teams and with colleagues in other tax disciplines as well as our transactions services and accounting disciplines to provide a co-ordinated service to our clientsManage the technical delivery of complex UK and international structuring projects, including refinancing transactions, group re-organisations and M&A.This will include working closely with KPMG colleagues across our global networksWork closely with our private client team to advise on the corporate implications of private client led advisory projectsDeveloping and maintaining strong relationships with clients and identifying leads for new work both within the UK and internationallyEnsuring that clients are kept up to date on developments within the tax world that may affect their businesses globallyHold and control high level conversations with senior stakeholders in the markets and be capable of introducing relevant specialists from across the firmLead by example with client relationships, technical quality and service deliveryBeing involved in business development and proposal activityManaging teams and coaching and developing staffIdentify key client issues that represent opportunities for other KPMG teams to capitalise on and play active role in introductionsThe IndividualQualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalentStrong interpersonal skills in addition to strong oral and written communication skillsDisplay technical strength in our specialist markets aboveSustains a high level of drive, shows enthusiasm and a positive attitude that translates across the teamDisplays an inclusive, collaborative approach and operates in a respectful manner with colleagues, clients and the wider communityBrings insight and effectively applies knowledge to business and client problemCommunicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent and clearBuilds the reputation of KPMG through the quality of work, knowledge and experienceA strong background in international tax or M&A is preferable.
