Asset Accountant

12 month FTC Asset Accountant Job, North West, Home Working contract. Salary circa £45000.

We are delighted to be partnering with a large and well known Housing Association based in the North West.
The group is a growing portfolio of social landlord companies as well as charities and limited companies.

Our client operates a Homeworking contract so you can operate primarily from home with occasional travel to a local office. Applicants must live in the North West of England.

Your new role
In this 12 month Fixed Term Contract role you will be responsible for all Asset Accounting for the group.
You will ensure that the group maintains accurate and well controlled financial accounting records thus ensuring the correct tax treatment of all group assets.

Duties will include:

• Working with divisional business partners to ensure asset budgets and forecasts are prepared to a high level of accuracy
• Ensure Monthly reconciliation of the Fixed Asset Register to the General ledger, highlighting and identifying any errors.
• Perform regular reviews for impairment triggers whilst ensuring disposals and additions are recorded correctly
• Production of quality and timely financial information and reports such as actual and forecast financial position, cashflows, and variance analysis.
• Completion of monthly management accounts in relation to tangible and intangible assets.

What you'll need to succeed
We are looking for a qualified or qualified by experience accountant who has significant experience of Asset accounting in a large and complex organisation. Housing Association experience is not essential but would be an advantage. You must have a working knowledge of the latest accounting standards particularly FRS 102

This is a 12 month fixed term contract so you should be available to start within a month of being offered the opportunity.
