Finance Manager - Immediate Start


Hays are pleased to be supporting a high growth SME who are now seeking to appoint a Finance Manager initially on a temporary basis with a view to going permanent in due course. The company is profitable and growing and is about to move into a new warehouse and office.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this interesting and varied position is the number one finance job responsible for all element of financial management and control.

Key tasks will include:

• Reconciling the various bank statements
• Ensuring correct allocations - Deposits, Invoice Settlement, Bibby
• Managing transfers between currency accounts
• Posting stock invoices to the system, and correctly identify deposits, goods in transit and stock on hand
• Uploading overhead invoices to the system
• Producing P&L and Balance Sheet including all relevant reconciliations
• Sales Reporting
• Regular review of landed costs
• Complete payment runs
• Owning the Xero system - ledger integrity/account codes/audit
• VAT preparation and submission
• Payroll

The position would suit an experienced Finance Manager (AAT, Part-Qualified, or QBE) who enjoys working in a high growth fast paced environment. Previous experience of invoice factoring, and working in a stock environment is desirable but not essential.

This is a hands-on get down in to the detail role which will suit someone who enjoys setting up financial processes and systems from scratch. You will have excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills, and ability to analyse numbers quickly and accurately.
