In a Nutshell:

We have a brilliant opportunity for a Trainee Management Accountant to join our team at Vistry Partnerships West, based at our office in Bristol. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to further develop their finance career in a fast-growing business unit of a leading UK Housebuilding and Construction company. As our Trainee Management Accountant, you will provide financial administrative support to regional finance teams, ensuring timely, quality financial information is provided and maintained in accordance with group procedures and policies.

What we would like from you:

Key Responsibilities -

  • Performing month end reconciliations and providing accounts analysis
  • Assisting with the internal and external audits
  • Processing cashbook and card transactions
  • Bank reconciliations on a weekly basis
  • Preparation and input of journals, prepayments and accruals
  • Compliance with GDPR/AML and safeguarding company assets
  • Assisting with weekly and monthly reporting to Group
  • Expenses analysis
  • Assisting with JV reporting
  • Any other finance duties as directed & required

Competencies –

  • Fully AAT Qualified
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Self-motivated and ability to work on own initiative
  • Time management and organizational skills to manage workload
  • Ability to work as part of a wider team
  • Have strong inter-personal skills to enable effective communication at all levels
  • Strong written communication, numerical and analytical skills
  • Forward thinking with regards to ideas and efficiencies that can be made
  • Eagerness to learn and with a can – do attitude
  • Able to produce information accurately and to the stipulated deadlines
  • Business aware
  • Attention to detail

Desirable -

  • COINS finance system experience
  • Construction / Housebuilding industry experience
  • Looking to further their qualifications by route of ACCA/CIMA
