An exciting Regional Accountant (Johor) job has just arisen at a multinational company in Malaysia. Reporting to the CFO, you will be a part of the finance team.

About the Regional Accountant (Johor) Role:
The Regional Accountant (Johor) will be required to travel to other entities on a monthly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Improve processes in order to create optimal accounting and reconciliation practices for the company

Lead the costing and accounting activities for the Asia Pacific region

Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all Asia Pacific subsidiaries (period-end closes, financial reporting, and consolidation with corporate books and records)

Ensure compliance with accounting standards

Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures and processes and ensure that proper controls are in place

Ensure management has advance visibility of any material accounting, reporting or internal control issues

Monthly review and business analysis of accounts

Drive process improvement initiatives by applying strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

To succeed in the Regional Accountant (Johor) role, you must possess strong interpersonal and communication skill.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business administration/accounting/finance/economics or any other related discipline from a recognised university

Five or more years of work experience in finance

Fluent in English

Able to work independently
