Assistant Accountant

Assistant Accountant FTC, based in Birmingham, paying up to £35k per annum


Hays Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with large organisation based in South Birmingham. This organisation are a market leader in their field and are looking to recruit for an Assistant Accountant for a long term FTC. This is a great opportunity to be involved with an organisation that aims to continue their growth and innovation into the future to remain the leader in the field.

For this position you will be a lead representative for R2R so experience in this previous would be extremely beneficial, also some other responsibilities are:

• Prepare and approve Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Prepare and approve journals
• Business partner with operational finance teams
• Liaise with internal and external auditors
• Effective management of balance sheet risk
• Continuous improvement

Experience with the above partnered with high level problem solving would be extremely beneficial for this position, also if you have experience working with internal compliance frameworks like Sarbanes Oxley would be great.
