Risk Analysts. Multiple Sectors.

Opportunity

We are looking for experienced professionals in the field of Risk Analysis who are looking for a career boost role in an organisation that has the bandwidth to offer genuine variety and the opportunity to work across multiple sectors including financial services, capital markets, energy and commodities.

Risk Analysis can have a reputation for being a little dusty and 'safe' with little opportunity to work across multiple sectors and to achieve proper career progression and personal development. This organisation provides the opportunity locally to really grow and develop your skills, progress your career and get the opportunity to really spread your wings in terms of sector exposure and broad scope within this role.

Our client is a multi-national brokerage firm with a reputation for using technology to disrupt and innovate within their sector, and with a proven track record of developing and retaining their staff. With over 5,000 staff globally, the firm has gained a lot of kudos for its commitment to employee welfare and for provision of flexibility and support with remote working during the pandemic.

Role

You will be empowered and trained to understand the risks and controls on your department - what could go wrong and what controls you have to detect, prevent or contain these.

The roles will be responsible for assisting the Enterprise Risk Management Team in delivering their responsibilities with a focus on reporting. The ERM team's responsibilities, including reporting, are shown below:

  • Coordinating the Group's risk identification, evaluation and assessment processes, including emerging risk
  • Coordinate the process for setting the Group's Risk Management Standards, including minimum control standards and risk metric requirements
  • Ongoing review and challenge of the RMS, in light of changes to the Group's business and risk profile
  • Coordinate the Group's stress testing programme
  • Conduct the Group's risk modelling activity as it relates to the stress testing programme and ongoing risk exposure modelling
  • Assessment of capital and liquidity adequacy under the Group's Capital and Liquidity Resources Management Framework
  • Coordination and documentation of the Group's risk-related regulatory submissions, including ICAAP, Recovery Plan, Orderly Wind-Down Plan
