An exciting Senior Tax Manager job has become available at a multinational electronics manufacturing and production company based in Penang. Your main responsibility is to oversee all tax-related matters of the company. Reporting directly to the Tax Director, this is a role for a professional who has the passion for dealing with numbers.

About the Senior Tax Manager Role:
Due to continuous growth of the company and for future expansion plans, the Senior Tax Manager will play a key role in both direct and indirect tax aspects of the current supply chain, expansions, new product offerings, sales side, and global mobility and human resources support.

Key Responsibilities:

Deep technical expertise in Malaysia tax

Experience with both direct and indirect taxes from a compliance, provision and planning perspective

Understand US GAAP accounting principles

Experience with tax treaty analysis and their interaction with domestic law

Foreign parent experience, ideally with US MNC

Track record of solid business partnering

Experience managing the tax compliance process

Experience in transfer pricing

Ability to risk assess in an ambiguous environment

To succeed in the Senior Tax Manager job, you will also directly interact with senior leadership which will require quick risk assessment and develop solutions on-the-fly in a constantly evolving and often ambiguous environment.

Key Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in accounting, ACCA, LCCI or equivalent

CTA, MIA or CPA is added advantage

At least 10 years of work experience in a related field is required for this position, preferably from a Big 4 or manufacturing industry

Able to identify solutions to complicated issues in a fast-paced environment

Strong focus on working as a team within tax as well as cross-functional groups

Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
