Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end closing of accounts inclusive Balance Sheet items reconciliation workings and Profit and Loss analysis (Full set of accounts)
  • Responsible for month-end closing reporting
  • Preparation of cash flow and cash forecast statement and assist in funding administration tasks
  • Handling daily bookkeeping and ensuring transactions in the accounting system are always up to date. It includes account payables, account receivables, general ledger (inclusive accrual review), and maintenance of fixed asset register.
  • Preparation of bank reconciliation statement and portfolio reconciliation statement.
  • Filing documents according to chronological order
  • Preparation of government statutory report on monthly basis OR quarterly basis
  • Corporate taxation and deferred taxation computation including tax schedule breakdown
  • Preparation of imported services tax and submit according to the provided deadline
  • Preparation of withholding tax reporting and submit in a timely manner
  • Assist Chief Accountant in preparing all reporting required by Managements and Head Quarters whenever required and attend to financial related matters
  • Assist Chief Accountant in preparing projection and 5 years market plan business plan
  • Work closely with colleagues demonstrating good interpersonal skills
  • Liaise with the auditor, tax agent, and secretarial matters and ensure compliance with local statutory rules. It
  • includes answering audit queries, tax queries whenever needed
  • Assist Chief Accountant in completing Ad Hoc task whenever required
  • Support and participate in continuous improvement process such as the implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
  • Assist in finance system implementation and system enhancements projects

Job Requirements

  • Education and/or Experience
    • Bachelor degree in Accountancy /ACCA/CPA or its equivalent
    • Experience in Hyperion Financial Management reporting system will be added advantage
    • Experience in Microsoft Dynamic AX OR D365 will be added advantage
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Words)
    • Minimum 8 to 10 years of workings experiences in accounting (inclusive 5 years experience in full sets)
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Solid understanding of accounting
    • Solid knowledge of IFRS
    • People management skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Pro-active, analytical skills, self-motivated, well organized, resourceful, and able to work towards deadlines with the right sense of urgency
    • Able to work independently with minimum supervision and ability to handle work pressure in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to take initiative and work under pressure
    • Computer literate with advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office
    • A good team player with adaptability and flexibility in handling changes and work in a dynamic and c hallenging environment
