Our client is a multinational with global presence, set to be the leader in its industry. They are currently expanding their footprint within the APAC region with their Shared Services set up - supporting their Accounting & Controllership functions.

Being a part of the shared services pioneer team, this new role reports into the Global Head of Finance & Operations - Shared Services, responsible for all business support & operational performance activities performed by the APAC shared services on behalf of internal and external customers in the areas of finance/accounting & controllership. The Head owns the P&L of the shared services delivery center, provides high focus on customer experience and service level achievement and oversees the transition of additional services into the centre.

Provide executive leadership for the shared services - setting strategy, vision, goals, future direction and overall governance.

Own the finance/accounting operational activities performed in the centre, including accountability on US GAAP application, SOX compliance and controls & financial reporting to corproate office.

Expand the centre's service offering and to oversee all implementation and roll out efforts.

Drive focus on integration, analytics, automation, transformation, continuous improvement, innovation and other digital capabilities.

Ensure resolution of critical/complex issues and to serve as final point of escalation for resolving major service delivery and relationship issues.

Provide operational excellence & monitor shared services performance ensuring that customers' needs are met, including compliance & controls.

Serve as a key interface between the shared services team, shared services customers and relevant functional leads.

Manage overall shared services resource allocation, budget and cost of operations.

skills & requirements

To qualify for the role, you as a leader in a pioneer role should have:

Relevant work experience within a finance/accounting operational shared services delivery centre for at least 15 years.

An existing Finance Leader of shared services, with ability to manage over 50 headcounts.

Proven ability to start and run a shared services delivery model, strategic planning, resources/budget allocations and corporate stakeholder management, within the APAC capacity or beyond.

Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills, with proven leadership qualities.

Ability to consult back to the business of best practices in the market of a shared services delivery - within the scope of Finance/Accounting.

Able to maintain and promote social, ethical, and organizational standards in conducting internal and external business activities.

Tech-savvy within multiple platforms, especially SAP.
