Finance Manager job North Kent £40k-£45k must have recent experience working within a construction company

Your new company
You will be working for an establish and entrepreneurial group of companies based in the North Kent area. The Finance Manager job is a newly created post to look after 3 of the groups subsidiary businesses. You will be required to work within the office.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations for the relevant companies, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions. You will establish and maintain the job costing process - CVRs, maintain the Invoice Financing system, daily Bank Reconciliations and report on the daily cash position. You will assist the credit controller, preparation of all Balance Sheet Reconciliations and reconcile all intercompany accounts. You will undertake VAT calculations quarterly for submission, calculate, reconcile and pay monthly HMRC submissions and maintain pension accounts and payments. You will make bank payments when required, post journals, responsible for the maintenance of the fixed asset register, including posting depreciation and calculating and posting accruals and prepayments. You will assist with the budgeting process, maintain Car lease accounts including inter-company cross charges, preparation of National Statistics forms and other Ad-Hoc duties as required

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a Finance Manager or Management Accountant level and must have recent experience working within a construction company. You will be comfortable in explaining and challenging people around the figures submitted. You will have good Excel skills and be willing to work within the office full time.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary in the region of £40k - £45k DOE with 20 days holiday plus bank holiday.
