My client, a growing and fast paced SME business in the Caerphilly area is seeking to recruit an experienced Payroller to join its finance team. This role will suitable an experienced and hands on Payroller who has experience of working in changing environment, and who has previous knowledge of Sage Implementation.

Reporting into the FC of the business the main duties of the role will include -

• Manage full end to end process of 2 Payrolls (in excess of 3000 on the payrolls)

• Manage the payroll team in delivering a timely and accurate weekly and monthly payroll service

• Lead the process to bring the internal payroll function back in-house

• Improve payroll processes & processes

• Deal with Sage Payroll implementation

• Line management & mentoring of payroll assistants

• Ensure implementation of new statutory requirements

• Ensure completion of year-end procedures

• Liaison and compliance with HMRC regulatory requirements

• Liaison with pension providers ensuring that all pension administration is up to date

• Train and motivate payroll team members

Key Skills and Competency

• Up to date knowledge of HMRC current payroll legislation to include Real Time Information

• Experience of using SAGE software as well as Sage implementation

• Good understanding of Pension auto enrolment

• Excellent Excel skills are essential

• Experience of basic HR processes and administration

• Good written communication skills

• Ability to demonstrate and calculate payroll manually

• Experience of SAGE payroll reporting, desirable

• Good numeracy skills

The working hours are 9 - 5 Monday to Friday

The role is office based
