Are you an experienced Client Manager or Accounts Senior with experience of reviewing work, who has at least 5 years experience in a small to medium sized accountancy practice firm, looking to work for an independent practice close to London Bridge station? Are you looking to work in a newly created role (due to growth) which is vitally important for this growing practice with a fee bank of £1.3m? Are you keen to work in a role which is a mixture of reviewing, but also preparing accounts and tax returns in a hands on capacity? Reporting to an established Manager, your role will be split 50% reviewing work which has been outsourced abroad (mainly bookkeeping and Vat work but some statutory accounts work too), and 50% preparing Ltd Company Statutory Accounts, Corporation Tax returns, Vat returns and other ad hoc assignments. You will also be responsible for liaising with the outsourcing office abroad and ensuring the work is completed to a high standard. It is expected that over the next 12 months your role would turn 80% reviewing, with 20% spent on preparing work yourself and more of your time will be spent on client Management duties / liaising directly with clients and giving them advice. The firm is moving to a more advisory approach with its client base so your role will become more a Client & Business Advisor role over time. The firm works with a wide array of Limited Companies from various different sectors, with turnovers to £8m although most clients are between £500k and £2m. The firm is very entrepreneurial and forward thinking and uses online software such as Xero and Quickbooks Online. There will also be the opportunity to carry out many ad hoc projects such as budgets, cashflows, forecasts, valuations and many other advisory projects for clients. The firm will allow one day a week home working going forwards.

To be considered for this new role you must be an experienced Accounts Senior or Client Manager, with experience of both reviewing work and preparing statutory accounts and tax returns yourself. You can be either ACCA / ACA qualified or qualified by experience. You must have at least 5 years experience working in a general practice role in a small to medium sized practice, with strong experience working with Limited Companies and preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns and VAT returns. You must have experience of a wide range of software packages, including Quickbooks and Xero would be an advantage. A strong interest in working in a small team, with London based SME and OMB clients is also essential. You must be well presented, be a team player, and have strong communication skills and be able to build relationships with your clients. It is also vital that you live no more than an hour commute from Central London (London Bridge area).
