Senior Technical Accounant
Due to continued success, our client is looking to expand their existing team, recruiting for a Senior Technical Accountant.
(Home-based with some office visits (London) / Contract - £310-£330 per day / Inside IR35)
Primary responsibilities include:The correct application IFRS 9 across the UK Group (including hedge accounting) and the correct disclosure of financial instruments in the statutory accounting process for the companies legal entities;Involved in the statutory accounting process. They provide technical expertise, ensuring that statutory accounts are fully compliant with relevant IFRS and group policies as well as facilitating the production and audit of accounts;The lead contact for technical accounting topics requested by business units, ensuring accounting policies are appropriate for the business, consistently applied and in compliance with relevant IFRS and Group policies. The Senior Technical Accountant is responsible for ensuring such policies are considered within our commercial activities where appropriate.
Scope:Part of a team of 5. No direct reports, but where appropriate will provide guidance and coaching to the Technical Accountant.Volume of statutory accounts being managed in the team: up to c. 30 sets.Scope of support provided: Advice and Guidance provided on Technical Accounting Company wide, across all Business Units.
