LMI is currently seeking a Financial/CPIC Analyst to support a government customer in Washington DC. This position will directly support a government program office with examination of financial information to ensure accuracy, create reports and produce recommendations. The financial data involves capital planning and investment control (CPIC) data to support reporting to the Office of Management and budget regarding IT funding. Projects on this task could relate to finance, data, communication, business process re-engineering, automation, governance, organizational change management, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate would possess some relevant work experience and an interest in developing knowledge in the acquisition realm of the Department of State.

  • Coordinate with team members and clients regarding financial system development and data management.
  • Perform data entry into various government data repositories.
  • Develop and/or use simple databases and spreadsheets; assist with data collection and data analysis for information technology and CPIC processes.
  • Translate financial analysis into simple concepts that can be communicated to stakeholders.
  • Perform data quality and data assurance reviews; conduct data analyses using qualitative and quantitative methods, prepare summary displays to report analysis results and findings.
  • Perform editing, document formatting, proofreading and review of program documents.
  • Provide assistance with logistics for meetings and preparing briefings.
  • Respond to internal and external questions and inquiries on assigned tasks and projects.
  • Give clear oral and written explanations of assigned tasks, relevant issues, analytic approach, and results.
  • Support client meetings with administrative support, such as note taking and meeting minute collection
  • Complete other tasks as necessary/assigned.

  • BA/BS required
  • At least 3 years of work experience
  • Ability to obtain a minimum risk public trust (MRPT) clearance
  • Knowledge in or familiarity with Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC) and Technology Business Management (TBM) and willingness to learn.
  • Experience and Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPointworking
  • Must be self-directed and detail oriented in completing assigned tasks and projects within assigned deadlines
  • Strong time management, planning, and organizational skills essential
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to compose and write a variety of internal and external general business documents, reports, and presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within LMI and with its clients
  • Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications.
  • Desired/highly preferred:
    • Interest or knowledge in ServiceNow products
    • Interest or knowledge in Agile development methodologies
