The Opportunity

The opportunity to join TAFE NSW's influential team of Principal Risk Advisors. Reporting to the Head of Risk you will provide specialist technical advice, guidance and coaching to senior managers and their team members, supporting them to manage their risks and achieve business objectives. You will promote positive risk behaviours, challenge risk perceptions and provide training to increase organisational risk capability, positive risk culture and increase organisational risk maturity.

Please note that this position's location is flexible within NSW, though you will need to be able to work out of a TAFE campus.

About you

You possess exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills and have experience partnering with senior managers to build enterprise risk management as an intrinsic part of business operations.

As a great communicator, you utilise your enterprise risk management expertise (both operational and project risk) to promote business decision-making and resource allocation in line with the TAFE NSW Risk Appetite Statement.

You are adept in working in a complex and matrix operating environment.

In addition, you are an independent and resourceful problem solver able to prioritise and focus your work.

Additionally, you have:

1. Degree qualification in related field or equivalent industry experience.

2. A high degree of technical competency in the development and application of enterprise risk management.

3. Sound knowledge of and experience in facilitation and performance of qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, cost benefit analysis, risk profile development and reporting, risk monitoring/quality control, system change management, and assurance.

4. Qualification as Certified Professional Risk Manager (CPRM) or equivalent.

5. Ability to address and meet focus capabilities as stated in the Position Description.
