This department provides corporate transactional and advisory services to public servants across numerous Queensland Government departments and agencies. They require an experienced SAP Finance Functional Consultant to ensure that Queensland Government's integrated solution is properly designed, configured, developed, documented, implemented, maintained and reviewed, in order to provide ongoing best practice and quality service to clients.

Reporting to the Director and working closely with staff across the department you will:
  • Complete system design, specification, configuration, unit testing and maintenance of solutions supported by the department and associated documentation in compliance with relevant standards
  • Provide strategic and expert advice to management on application and associated issues and initiatives including risk and issue identification and management
  • Analyse business requirements and system specifications and provide strategic expertise to staff and management to ensure specifications are aligned to business requirements
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate effectively with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to develop and maintain effective working relationships and the integrity of the overall integrated solution
  • Contribute to effective, client focussed teamwork by developing an understanding of the roles and duties of team members within the team and across the department and working collaboratively to achieve outcomes with a commitment to quality and customer service.

  • Your suitability for this role will be assessed against how you:
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of SAP ERP solutions, particularly in the SAP module areas of Finance, Controlling and Banking.
  • Extensive experience in designing, configuring and supporting SAP solutions.
  • High level knowledge of the integration aspect of SAP modules, including ability to develop high quality system specifications, configuration documentation and testing scenarios.
  • Understand the work environment and contribute to the development of plans, strategies and team goals related to SAP Finance systems. Identifies and resolve issues and problems related to SAP Finance systems that may impact upon Agencies.
  • See projects through to completion. Monitor project progress and adjust plans as required. Commit to achieving quality outcomes and ensures documentation procedures are maintained. Seek feedback from stakeholders to gauge satisfaction.
  • Commit to action. Take personal responsibility for meeting objectives and progressing work. Show initiative and proactively step in and do what is required. Commit energy and drive to see the goals are achieved.
