With over 50 years of certified public accounting and business consulting experience, Edelstein & Company LLP serves a wide range of clients from our base in the heart of the Boston financial district and in Burlington, MA. In addition to audit, tax, and consulting services, we also provide litigation support, wealth management, and medical practices management. We are currently looking for an experienced Forensics Manager to join our growing business valuation services area.
Forensics Manager
Responsibilities:
- The candidate must possess a strong foundation in accounting, finance and tax backgrounds are a plus;
- have experience in managing a valuation team
- strong written and verbal communication skills; putting together a valuation report from beginning to end;
- experience in managing/mentoring less experienced staff; and ability to take projects from start to finish with limited supervision.
- Has experience in the context of civil litigation, family law, business/shareholder disputes, and various other purposes
- The ideal candidate has experience in these areas, or alternatively will have a background in another professional consulting discipline
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (accounting, finance, management, mathematics, or economics preferred)
- 4-7+ Years of professional experience in valuation, forensics, litigation support, auditing, or other professional service environment
- CPA, ASA, ABV, CVA, CFF, CFA, CFE or other relevant credentials are a plus
- Excel, Power Point skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience managing/mentoring staff
- Experience creating written and visual professional work product (i.e., reports, presentations)
