AEF's mission is to provide full service solutions to Citi's clients in the Renewable Energy, Energy Efficiency/Home Improvement and other Sustainability related sectors, some of the fastest growing areas globally. AEF works closely with partners within Global Spread Products and Capital Markets Origination (Global Structured Debt, Derivatives, Syndicate, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Securitization, Leveraged Finance), across other Citi businesses (Investment Banking, Markets, Commodities, Municipal Finance, Export Agency Finance, Private Banking, Credit Opportunities Fund), and key control functions (Risk, Tax) to offer a full suite of financing, advisory, and hedging products. AEF develops and offers a comprehensive set of innovative and customized financing solutions to Citi's clients, including tax equity financing (a mezzanine project financing that allows clients to monetize various tax incentives provided by the US Government), renewable energy pool financing (warehouse, backleverage, asset backed securitizations and whole loan placement), USDA and DOE guaranteed financings, emerging technology financing, and advisory services. AEF has developed extensive expertise in financing various renewable energy technologies including: wind, solar, waste-to-energy, geothermal, biomass, biofuels, fuel cells, energy efficiency and other emerging technologies. AEF often acts as principal and invests in, or lends to, projects on behalf of Citi.

  • Lead new transaction execution across a broad range of structured finance product offerings from client origination through structuring and closing process. Multiple product coverage responsibility including tax equity, warehouse and securitization financing, and other capital advisory, placement or principal investing transactions. Associate will have client coverage responsibility across all AEF sectors and technologies.
  • Lead development of and run complex financial models.
  • Manage multiple origination processes including client/project due diligence, transaction structuring and credit analysis, development of investor relationships, and interaction with 3rd party experts (counsel, rating agencies, etc.).
  • Manage internal approval processes (including comprehensive credit analysis).
  • Lead role in managing existing tax equity and debt portfolio.

  • Suggest 3 - 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience with tax equity, project finance, asset finance or other infrastructure related financings/investments is preferred but not required.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office and related data analysis tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, modelling and credit analysis skills are required.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Series 7 in addition to 63 and 79 licenses.
