The Woodville office currently has an exciting opportunity tojoin the team as a High Risk Infant Worker.
The High Risk Infant Worker will be responsible for leadingsocial work practice in regards to the holistic assessment of highrisk infants and their families, and the provision of specialistintervention, support, services or referrals for high risk infantsand their families.
The role involves consultation regarding casework of a morecomplex and contentious nature and building the capacity of DCP andother government and non-government services to respond to theneeds of High Risk Infants and their families.
We are looking for an organised individual who have demonstratedknowledge and understanding of infant physical, social andemotional development; children and you people development and theChild Protection Act.
To be successful in this role, you will also have demonstratedknowledge and understanding of the social, cultural andenvironmental influences on family well-being, family development,and positive parenting.
Additionally, you will also have experience in the provision ofsupport and advice to less experienced case workers.

Essential Qualifications: A degree levelqualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for fullmembership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanderdescent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do nothave the essential qualification, may apply for and beengaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitledto apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring aqualification in Social Work within the Department for ChildProtection (DCP).
