Responsibilities

As an Analyst in the EMEA M&A team, your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Support in execution of mandated transactions: Interacting with clients and various levels of management, and acting as an integral part of the execution team. Supporting the team in project management, due diligence, Q&A, transaction documentation etc

  1. Creating marketing materials: Creating investment banking marketing materials such as pitch books, teasers, information memorandums and management presentations

  1. Financial analysis: Demonstrating advanced modelling skills to help prepare and audit corporate finance, valuation, financing and accounting analysis

  1. Sector knowledge: Even though M&A is a generalist team, you will be required to keep up to date with the markets and sector developments, understanding regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions to provide advice, valuation and financing structures

  1. Teamwork: In addition to building & maintaining relationships within the M&A team, you will be expected to engage effectively with colleagues across businesses/products/countries and work collaboratively in a global context

Desired candidate profile

  • Previous 1-2 years' investment banking or accounting experience, with track record either in M&A or Investment Banking sector teams and evidenced deal experience
  • The position requires a self-confident person who is highly motivated and reliable, with strong team spirit and outstanding work ethic
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation with experience in developing marketing materials (pitch books), including research
