Direct Tax Reporting Consultant

We are working on a permanent Direct Tax Reporting Consultant opportunity with a prestigious renewable energy client. This is a key strategic role for which our client has flexibility on the location of where the person will be working from.
The main purpose of the post is to deal with UK corporate tax compliance across a range of company subsidiaries in the energy industry as part of a dedicated in-house team.

Key Tasks

• Preparation of tax disclosures for the UK statutory accounts of companies in the group
• Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
• Providing tax disclosures for IFRS group reporting, planning, and forecasting purposes
• Involvement with Corporate Interest Restriction calculations
• Potential for involvement in payroll tax returns (e.g. PSA's)

Key Skills

• The job holder should possess professional qualifications in tax or accounting or be able to demonstrate that they are qualified by experience
• Working knowledge of relevant tax law and practice
• Sound knowledge of Accounting standards
• Knowledge of OneSource tax software would be an advantage
• Working knowledge of accounting systems (e.g. SAP) together with good systems and controls awareness

Salary and benefits:

• £50,000- £55,000 (bonus opportunity of 10% to 20%)
• Up to 15% Pension (5% employee and 10% employer)
