We are a welcoming, family-owned business looking for a part-time Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our quickly developing business.

The business has two divisions Poli-Tape UK Limited and We Seal Limited. The Financial Controller is the key administrative and financial contact for both businesses. The Purchase Ledger Clerk will be required to be the support for the Financial Controller.

We Seal are the largest international manufacturer of plastic bag sealing solutions. Established in 1979 and now supplying to 95% of the UK's bread market, We Seal design and engineer innovative sealing machines along with reliable tapes and seals. Poli-Tape UK is a leading supplier of heat transfer films for garment decoration, printable media, sign vinyls and application tapes. Poli-Tape UK supplies regional distributors in the UK and Ireland with innovative products manufactured exclusively by Poli-Tape GmbH in Germany and Kemica in Italy, both owned by the Poli-Tape Group.

Key

responsibilities:

Responsible for matching, checking and coding high volume of purchase invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Processing company credit card statements and staff expenses
Setting up new supplier accounts, reviewing them on a regular basis, and ensuring that the existing account details are correct and up to date
Resolving invoice issues quickly and efficiently
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Data entry, general filing and completing paperwork
Answering and directing incoming phone calls and forwarding messages
Opening and sorting post
Monitoring accounts mail boxes on a daily basis
Supporting the finance department and wider organisation as required
Successful applicant will have:

Essential:GCSE Maths and English
Sound knowledge of SAGE accounting software
Strong IT skills including word processing and spreadsheets
Strong numeracy and literacy with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work independently, achieving goals on time
Ability to respond quickly and efficiently to business needs
Good professional manner with all contacts
Understanding of Health and Safety Policies
Understanding of Quality Systems
Understanding of Environmental Management Policies
Excellent organisational skills
Great communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:
Experience working in a manufacturing environment in a similar role
