Department Description - Real Estate Operations

Real Estate Operations is part of Fidelity International's wider Investment Management Operations group and is responsible for providing support to the Real Estate Investment managers, research team and other group functions. The team is responsible for Financial Accounting, Corporate Reporting, Taxation, Fund Structuring and Asset Servicing for all aspects of the Real Estate Business.

Purpose of your role

The role will be an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems administrator with an in-depth knowledge of Yardi Voyager.

Working alongside colleagues within the Operations team and Technology, the role holder will manage and help enhance Yardi Voyager to ensure value maximisation, improve process efficiency and maintain an appropriate controls environment.

The role will also involve working closely with other FIL departments as well as external third party service providers including managing agents, fund administrators and auditors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup New Legal Entities, Properties, Units, Leases & Charges
  • Triage user requests / issues
  • Setup General Ledger & Bank Accounts
  • Resolve third-party Property Managing Agents issues / requests
  • Respond to information requests using standard reports within Yardi Voyager
  • Oversee data quality - investigate and triage data quality issues
  • Provide general system training to both internal and external users
  • Support the development of Policies & Standard Operating Procedures
  • Create & maintain Custom Reports using Yardi Spreadsheet Reporting (YSR)
  • Create & maintain Invoice Templates
  • Create & maintain Workflows
  • Coordinate User Access & IP Information Collection
  • Complete Custom System Setup (Invoice templates, workflows, etc.)
  • Organise & manage system & UAT Testing
  • Research and present New Yardi Voyager Features
  • Co-ordinate updates, software changes or emergency issues with all users
  • Perform System Maintenance and Update Tasks as part of BAU Activities
  • Drive Process Improvements, Simplification and Automation of Processes
  • Monitor Client Central for Latest Webinars Product Updates, Documentation & Technical Tips
  • Attend Yardi Advanced Solutions Conferences (YASC) and Yardi End User Group Meetings
  • Ensure compliance with procedures and controls and internal risk policies
  • Assist with the annual audit process
Experience and Qualifications Required
  • 2+ Years' experience supporting Yardi products, in particular, Yardi Voyager 7S
  • Experience implementing and upgrading Yardi Voyager
  • Experience working with multiple Property Managing Agents (both UK and Europe)
  • Understanding of systems related property accounting processes (accounts payable and receivable)
  • Good communication skills are critical, and the candidate must be able to articulate ideas coherently to colleagues, third party vendors and internal customers
  • Attention to detail and a good work ethic is important
  • Good interpersonal skills as the position requires regular contact with Portfolio Managers, Research Professionals, Financial and other Administrative staff
  • Strong business analysis and Excel skills (PowerBI or similar skills are also beneficial)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative as needed, to manage daily tasks and special projects
  • An individual who is professional, pro-active with a high level of personal integrity and focus on the customer is crucial
  • Assertive and self-motivated and an ability to prioritise and multi-task effectively
  • A true team player who will be happy to volunteer to assist colleagues when necessary
  • Language skills: Fluent English (German or French is also beneficial)
