Cambridge Associates maintains offices in major financial centers across the globe, with headquarters in Boston, MA.Working with some of the world's most sophisticated institutional investors, we bring a deep knowledge of portfolio management best practices to the clients we serve, and select our colleagues with great attention to their potential to become a valuable member of a collaborative, intelligent and hard-working ; Position OverviewThe role of the International Tax Analyst holds much opportunity for growth and ; The role involves working with a strong integrated tax and finance team on many aspects of tax work including international tax compliance, direct and indirect tax, research, and support of cross-functional ; The International Tax Analyst will work directly with tax team Senior staff and interact cross-functionally with the extended Finance team as well as with the broader ; This position requires an individual comfortable working independently and communicating in a remote environment. This is a visible role, and an ideal opportunity to join a deeply collaborative environment working closely with internal and external ; Currently, this position will join a 4-person tax team, expanding into a 6-person ;Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for supporting the firm's International tax function and all related tax filings including, but not limited to:Country-specific corporate tax compliance including extensions, estimated tax payments, and annual tax return compliance working alongside internal team and external advisors
Quarterly VAT and GST tax filings, calculations and payment execution
Quarterly and annual tax provisioning process under FAS 109
Research and support of international tax issuesResponsible as back-up support for domestic tax associate related to:Calculation of, and payment execution of required domestic state and federal tax filings as needed
Domestic research and support as neededAssist with the team's overall goal to ensure the firm remains compliant with all laws and government reporting
Liaise closely with Operations and Accounting teams to understand various tax implications of business decisions, new clients, and other impactful items
Work with team members to liaise with external tax advisors on various issues such as reporting aspects of tax, audit notices, and ad hoc queries
Recommend areas of opportunity for improvement and implement continual best practices within the departmentQualificationsIdeal candidate has some experience s of progressive tax experience in a multinational industry tax department, or a public accounting firm
Experience with international taxes such as tax provisioning or international corporate income tax compliance a plus
Experience with international tax compliance, and working with flow-through entities such as partnerships a plus
