Our client, a Global Leader in Iron Ore, is seeking a high level Accounts Payable Supervisor to join and lead their busy team based in East Perth. This is a temporary / ongoing assignment with the potential for extension or permanency in the future.
Reporting to the Manager, Category and Procurement Services this role is responsible for leading the Accounts Payable (AP) team from both a people and process leadership perspective. This role is accountable for execution of the accounts payable function and development / implementation of efficient and effective AP processes whilst working across Procurement and Finance functions.
This exciting opportunity requires someone with proven ability to lead, coach and develop a team. Good communication skills with stakeholders both internally and externally with suppliers is essential. A track record of identification of process gaps and opportunities, the ability to understand root causes and put corrective actions in place to drive higher performance in a sustainable manner is required.
The Accounts Payable Supervisor should have a solid background in AP processes and how they integrate into the Procurement function and the greater business. They must possess good numeracy skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise whilst maintaining governance standards.
