We have much room for improvement and many ideas that will further shape the industry.Reporting to the Regional Financial Controller, the Head of Shared Service is responsible for providing strategic direction and operational leadership to the global shared services in Asia, to ensure that it adds maximum value, and achieve its business goals. The role also assumes responsibility for the development and successful execution of a Shared Services Centre ("SSC") strategy and business planning.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for setting up SSC for the region including mapping out the timeline and implementation plan.
  • Provide overall leadership and direction to the SSC, ensuring that objectives are well-established and communicated, and that targets are achieved
  • Manage reporting and governance relationship, including regular SSC steering committee with regional management and key stakeholders, to ensure that SSC fully supports the overall group business objectives.
  • Ensure that SSC resource are efficiently and effectively managed to support objectives.
  • Manage SSC related functional policies, procedures and practices across 6 countries.
  • Manage relationships with finance and business teams across the group as part of the SSC's general function
  • Oversight and accountability for continuity and successful delivery of payment and billing services through SSC.
  • Lead SSC team to focus on SS excellence and creating a positive efficient customer experience.
  • Ensure smooth operation function of SSC without interruption of service delivery and maximum productivity.
  • Prepare forecast of cashflow and ensure adequate funds for operational needs.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place, with full compliance of the policies and procedures and constantly seek improvement in efficiency and effectiveness in processes.
  • Able to work with local and Regional HR on hiring and managing the team according to ISO 90001:2018 policies.
  • Any other ad-hoc task assigned.


  • Requirements:

  • Degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or equivalent.
  • CA/CPA certification required
  • At least 6 years of related Shared Service experience, preferably in logistics, and in a leadership position.
  • Experience working with multinational organization/environment especially in a high growth, rapidly changing culture.
  • Experience with internal and external audit procedures.
  • Good knowledge in IFRS. Knowledge of Asia local FRS would be an advantage.
  • Strong internal control knowledge in processes and experience in writing SOP.
  • Familiar with specific local corporate tax laws and local tax matters of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand and Philippines
  • Leadership experience in managing a large finance team would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite's ERP would be an advantage.
  • Able to work with a strong sense of urgency, both as an individual contributor and as a team leader.
  • Passion for analytical / data-driven problem-solving, improving and/or implementing processes.
  • Team player with strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise with minimum supervision with a focus on results
  • Equipped with leadership, communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Commercial acumen to understand and execute on the company's objectives, operations, market environment and ethical issues.
