About the Role

In this diverse role, you will beresponsible for all financial aspects of a number of Brookfield Infrastructure Group assets for the Asia Pacific region. This role involves quarterly statutory and management reporting, valuation and impairment analysis, business planning/budgeting/reforecasting of financial results, review of financial reporting by the assets and other ad hoc financial projects.The role will also require involvement in the financial due diligence workstreams of any potential acquisitions and divestments of the Asia Pacific infrastructure group as well as leading the acquisition accounting, transition and onboarding of new assets.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Oversees all company accounting practices, including all financial transactions, preparing budgets, financial reports, and taxation and audit functions.
  • Quarterly reporting process for Australian group to overseas parent company, ensuring the reporting packs and results presentations are completed accurately and on time each quarter.
  • Quarterly fund reporting, including review of fund statements and managing distributions each quarter
  • Take ownership of the Australian audit process liaising with external auditors for their quarterly review, interim statutory account and full year statutory account audits.
  • Lead by example and build capability in the Brookfield Infrastructure Finance team to ensure that Brookfield delivers and reports accurate financial information.
  • Co-ordinating the quarterly and annual valuation process for Brookfield Infrastructure Group assets.
  • Ensure the delivery of timely, effective reporting/information/presentations to key stakeholders including Corporate and other Brookfield groups.
  • Identify and provide advice to Asset CFOs in relation to financial accounting matters, financial processes, risks and opportunities across the Group.
  • Full responsibility for the financial integration of new assets including format of reporting, timeliness of reporting and content.

  • About You

    For you to succeed in this role, it is expected that you possess a minimum of ten years experience managing a finance and treasury function within a diverse, portfolio based entity. You will also possess:
  • CA/CPA qualified
  • Well developed leadership, interpersonal and management skills.
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment with multiple internal stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Strong presentation skills - including verbal, written and demonstrative
  • Able to work to deadlines and manage a number of competing priorities
  • Expertise in corporate finance principles and practices
  • Intimate knowledge of preparation of financial reports
  • Advanced computer literacy and knowledge of current financial and accounting applications
