W. Yorkshire based charity, doing some great work with a resilient income stream seek a Part Time Financial Accountant for an initial contract of 2 years. This is a part time role of 16 - 20 hours and can be worked to best suit the needs of the individual across either 3, 4 or 5 days with a flexible approach to starting times.

Description
This role is a newly created position of Part Time Financial Accountant to work collaboratively with the existing team, but will be covering a broad range of finance duties from hands on processing tasks to more strategic work. The role is initially for 2 years, but could become permanent for the right candidate. Key areas of deliver will include:
Maintenance of the charity accounts ensuring that they are updated and maintained, to ensure accurate financial planning and forecasting
Production of financial accounts and presentation to Board of Trustees
Income and expenditure information is shared with key stakeholders and used constructively to inform project planning and delivery.
Production of monthly management accounts, including commentary for the leadership team and trustees
Lead the annual budget and forecasting cycle
Manage the annual audit process, be main point of contact for auditors and production of statutory accounts
Management of running the outsourced payroll processes
Ensure the accurate and timely processing of all invoices
Report and analyse expenditure by project and regular updating of project managers as to state of their budgets
Profile
Candidates must be fully accountancy qualified ( ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CIPFA or equivalent) and will have previous experience of working within charity finance.
As a flexible employer the charity are happy to support a range of different working patterns, but this role is based in W. Yorkshire and will require at least 1 day per week within the office so candidates will need to be able to commute to the W. Yorkshire area for this.
Job Offer
This is a Financial Accountant role for initially 2 years and could lead onto a permanent position for the successful candidate.
At the moment this organisation are working entirely remotely, but with a view that they will look to return to a blended office based and working from home approach with 1 day per week within the office.
