Part Time Accounts Payable Assistant
Permanent & part time; 3 days a week - flexible
Swansea
£22-26,000 full time equivalent

This role is amazing; a large not-for-profit organisation seek a highly organised and accurate Purchase ledger assistant to join them for this permanent, part time role! AAT studiers (or qualified!), ACCA studiers; these guys will provide study support to help you broaden your horizons and achieve your potential. As as a part time role, this will fit well around existing study, childcare, time consuming pets or hobbies........ it really is a great way to gain some work life balance!
Your role will consist of;

  • Manage and maintain the full accounts payable function
  • Ensuring timely payment of invoices
  • Processing purchase invoices
  • Purchase Orders number administration and authorisation
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Reconciling control accounts
  • Bank account reconciliations
  • Managing and administer employee Expenses
  • Managing the Prepayments process and balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Journals and accruals
  • Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register


As you can see, there are a number of management accounting functions associated with this role, hence the requirement for some robust knowledge of the accounting process and the preference for some formal or professional qualifications and training. If you do have the experience, but not the qualification, please don't dismiss this role......... if you have the experience with the accruals process and the Fixed assets, it's worth giving me a call during office hours to discuss; it is very possible that your experience will suffice! You will need a good understanding of computerised accounting software (these guys use SAGE, but your skills with alternative packages will be taken into consideration) and a fair level of competency with Microsoft Excel

You will be office based, home working isn't a long term solution for this role.
