This an excellent opportunity for an experienced Finance Assistant from professional services/consultancy to work with an internationally recognised project management business. As the Finance Assistant you will be responsible for managing the general finance functions and administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the finance department.

Client Details

My client are a Central London based internationally recognised project management firm specialising in the built environment. Managing design, programme & planning, dispute resolution and rescue. They are now looking to expand their finance team due to recent growth within the business and are looking for a Finance Assistant from professional services / consultancy background to help the sustain this.

Description

The Finance Assistant will be responsible for the following:

  • Process all inward and outgoing bank statement or cash transactions
  • Log and distribute purchase invoices to budget holders and code, post and schedule payments to suppliers
  • Process staff expense claims and company credit card expenditure
  • Conduct credit control activities and update debtor receipts information
  • Set up all payments through the bank account including staff expenses, suppliers and ad-hoc payments
  • Reconcile the purchase ledger at month end
  • Reconcile bank accounts daily and at month end, and all petty cash accounts at month end
  • Action and reconcile prepayments and depreciation at month end
  • Maintain and administer the project accounting system (Vision), including timesheets and expenses
  • Provide support to the management accounting process, including the running of reports
  • Any other duty relevant to the role

Profile

The successful Finance Assistant:

Experience

  • Experience working in a similar role is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working within a professional environment

Qualifications

  • GCSE Grade 4/Grade C and above in Maths & English or equivalent

Skills

  • Comfortable working in MS Excel
  • Good communicator
  • High attention to detail
  • Resilient character and comfortable challenging others where required
  • Good relationship building skills
  • Organised & efficient time manager

Job Offer

The successful candidate will be paid £22,000 - £25,000 per annum as well as additional benefits:
