About you


To be successful in this role you will need:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, Local Government Act, Local Government (Finance & Reporting) Regulations and Local Government (Planning & Reporting) Regulations is highly desirable;
  • Strong experience in the preparation of monthly reporting and analysis of financial results including enhancements in how financial information is presented to stakeholders;
  • Strong experience in preparation and delivery of key financial deliverables including annual budget, long term financial strategy, annual financial statements and other ad hoc reporting requirements;
  • Strong experience in financial modelling with experience in developer contributions highly desirable;
  • Strong experience developing working relationships with internal stakeholders and driving a value-add based finance function through supporting the development of a highly engaged business partnering model;
  • Experience providing high levels of customer service to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a commitment to continuous improvement;
  • Highly effective time management and planning skills, plus the ability to prioritise and organise workloads in an environment of change and conflicting demands and the ability to consistently meet deadlines;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills.
