This business is a proudly NZ based, and owned business based in Penrose. This business is a well-known name in the construction and hardware industry due to their high standards and emphasis on quality service delivery.

Due to a resignation they are looking for a sole charged Assistant Accountant to fill a gap while they look for a permanent person. The right temporary candidate will be considered for the permanent role.

The Role

The Assistant Accountant role will report directly to the General Manager. Your core responsibilities will include:

· Processing invoices

· Match to purchase orders

· Chasing approvals

· Payment runs

· Supplier reconciliations

· Allocations

· following up overdues

· Set up new suppliers

· Payroll - Wages and Salaries

· IRD filing

· Processing PAYE

· Ad-hoc duties

Your Profile

To be considered for this role you will have 5 years+ experience processing accounts and exposure to payroll.

Because this is a sole charge position, you will have to be autonomous and self-sufficient and capable of taking ownership of the function and the duties that come with it. Attention to detail will be crucial as well as strong communication details as you will be liaising both internally and externally.
