This role is to provide business planning, financial analysis and business insight to better enable short and long-term decision-making, reporting into the Head of FP&A. The role will support the wider Team in the analysis and modelling of regulatory charges and integration into the business planning process.

Description

  • The Corporate Finance Analyst will play a key role delivering:

  • Budgeting

    • To co-ordinate and produce key aspects of the corporate financial planning process, including the annual budget and five-year plan.
    • Maintain and develop the long term business model to the end of the project lifecycle.
    • Support the development of appropriate performance measurement frameworks to monitor progress of plans against budgets during the year.

    Modelling

    • Maintenance and update of the model.
    • Integration of the regulatory model with the five-year plan.
    • Assist in the preparation of analytical models for credit rating agencies.
    • Modelling for shareholders of valuation scenarios and appropriate cash extraction options.
    • Project and investment appraisals, including NPV, IRR and ROI analysis.

Profile

  • Essential

    • Experience of building and managing complex financial models
    • Educated to degree standard (2:1 or better)
    • Strong influencer and stakeholder manager, with a proactive, confident approach with excellent communication skills (written and oral)
    • Comfortable challenging and being challenged, with a proven ability to manage relationships at all levels.
    • Demonstrate a strong track record of delivery in a business or financial analyst role
    • Experience in driving process improvements within a changing environment
    • The ability to self-manage, with a methodical approach and an eye for detail is essential.
    • Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and the ability to get the job done whilst working in a small team.
    • Advanced excel skills with financial modelling experience.

    Desirable

    • Qualified ACA or similar
    • Career experience should include a wide range of accounting exposure and a working understanding of treasury and tax
    • Proven experience of providing analysis into commercial decision making of a business across all functional areas.
    • Comfortable with presenting recommendations to key decisions makers including the provision of logical and well-planned analysis.
    • Highly financially literate
    • Proven track record of outperformance, owning issues to conclusion and delivering high quality output
    • Logical decision making and a hands-on approach
