Amazing new role for a dynamic, industry leading manufacturer. Your new role reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and the European Financial Controller, sits between the Accounts Payable and General Ledger function and will be largely higher level financial accounting. There will also be some day to day purchase ledger maintenance in addition to having overall responsibility for the AP function, managing the payment runs, month end close out of the ledgers and the journal, prepayment and accrual procedures. You will need to have tonnes of experience in this area already and be confident to complete month end tasks with minimal line manager supervision once on board! You will also be involved in the business compliance processes in respect of both VAT and Customs duties - EC Sales, Intrastat returns and the like.

Generally managing and analysing the AP function and reporting accordingly, you will have plenty of experience in a commercial environment; ideally manufacturing, although we are open to other areas of industry. A unique complexity in this role is the ability to speak German fluently; you will be liaising with suppliers and sites in Germany and a great deal of your time will be spent communicating with German speakers by phone and email...... as such you will need to communicate in spoken and written German.

This role would be suitable for an ACCA studier or Finalist (support with professional study will be available for the right candidate), an AAT, a QBE or a newly qualified ACCA/ACA. Salary will depend on a combination of qualification and past experience.
