We have a great opportunity for a passionate Senior Financial Accountant to join Hudson's Sydney based Corporate Finance team on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Senior Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering effective financial control in addition to value-add business insights for their own portfolio.

Working with senior stakeholders across the business you'll provide accurate periodical reporting, respond to ad-hoc queries and work with the business to find innovative ways to improve performance.

  • The role itself
  • Preparation of reporting packages for monthly and quarterly reporting including overseeing month-end close duties
  • Providing leadership, support and guidance to a Junior Accountant focusing on continuing to develop their skillset
  • Providing assistance with budgeting and forecasting
  • Working with Business Unit Directors to help them gain better visibility over key business drivers to improve commercial performance and grow their business areas
  • Coordination of half-yearly and annual preparation of statutory reporting
  • Acting as a key point of contact for external auditors and liaising throughout the audit process
  • Consistently seeking to enhance existing and develop new reporting tools

  • About you
  • Degree qualified in Commerce/Accounting or similar and a completed CA/CPA qualification
  • A proactive approach to building relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to translate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
