About the role
The Performance Assurance and Risk Directorate provides independent, objective assurance and risk management advice to the Director General, Corporate Executive and the Risk Management and Audit Committee (RMAC). The Directorate conducts the Department's internal audit activities, is responsible for the Enterprise Risk Management Framework and independently reviews the Department's reportable deaths.
The Internal Auditor contributes to the development of the Department's Annual Internal Audit Plan and audit scope. The Internal Auditor also assists in conducting internal audits and providing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes at the Department of Justice.
